The second General Assembly of the EU project MATQu (Materials for Quantum Computing) took place on November 22 at Fraunhofer IPMS in Dresden, Germany. It was the first meeting in presence and thus offered an excellent opportunity for the representatives of the 18 project partners from all over Europe to meet in person and discuss the current project status. The 31 participants used the opportunity to get to know each other personally and thus promote further cooperation. They also discussed the results of the first half of the project in all work packages, presented the achieved milestones to the rest of the consortium and planned the next steps of the project. Another important item on the agenda was the preparation of the due interim report and the planning of the next steps. The constructive feedback from the first review meeting in Brussels at the end of June 2022 was taken into account in all work packages.
The three-year EU project MATQu is funded by the EU and the National Authorities of the participating countries and is, according to the conclusion of the project partners, the EU Program Officer and the external reviewers, on a good way to build a European research infrastructure for advanced quantum technologies.
